How Midtown High-Rises Actually Get Junk Out the Door
Freight elevators, dock windows, and COIs, the Midtown and Westside logistics nobody mentions until move-out week.
September 2, 2026
If you live in a Midtown tower or a West Midtown loft, junk removal is less about the truck and more about the building. The freight elevator books out, the dock has a two-hour window, and somebody always forgets the certificate of insurance until Thursday afternoon.
We work those buildings weekly from our Seaboard Ind Blvd yard. The jobs that go smoothly all share the same prep: one confirmed dock time, floor protection ready, and a pile already staged, not still buried in a spare bedroom.
Book the building before you book the truck
Call the management office first. Ask for freight hours, pad requirements, and whether they want the COI emailed ahead. Atlantic Station and many Midtown towers will not let a crew on property without that paperwork on file.
Confirm the freight elevator reservation in writing.
Ask if weekend or after-hours loading is required.
Measure the largest item against the elevator door opening.

What we haul from Midtown apartments
Sectionals that will not fit a new place, dead treadmills, kitchen renovation leftovers, and the storage-unit overflow that somehow moved into the second bedroom. We carry it down, you point.
Same-day is possible when you call early
Our head-office crew is minutes from West Midtown and the Beltline. Call before mid-afternoon and we can usually lock a window the same day, assuming the building dock is open.
